Regina Hennrich Gailani

Background Information:  A California native, Gailani has a bachelor's degree and active experience in business development, advertising, marketing/communications, and public relations.  After working as a partner in a travel agency specializing in corporate cruise/land conferences, and a consultant with Deposit Guaranty and First American Bank, Gailani opened Art and Soul of the South in 2002 with former partner Kathryn Resio.  Gailani is married to Joseph Gailani, Ph.D.

Favorite part of the job: Working with local artisan developing a new store product, such as a coffee table from an old garden gate, an entertainment center from old doors/ceiling molding, etc.

Major business/community accomplishments:  Gailani was the first women hired on the advertising agency automotive account team for Acura.  She served as a board member of the American Lung Association of Los Angeles, as an associate member of Junior Auxiliary of Clinton, and as a former freelance writer for the Clinton News/Clarion-Ledger, Bluffs and Bayous, and assorted California publications.  More recently, Gailani served on the board of Mississippi Woman/Jackson Conference, actively contributed to the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra's fundraising program, developed corporate fund raising programs for assorted Vicksburg Theatre Guild productions, and served on the board of Keep Vicksburg and Warren County Beautiful.  She was also the jewelry designer for Jalin Wood, Miss Mississippi 2004.

Advice to your peers in the business world:  "Pursue your passions, and put them to work.  Build something larger than yourself, but keep it close to your heart."
